The primary reason for the existence of LCA is to provide a Christian education for children from born-again Christian families.  This is in harmony with the fact that the school views itself as an extension of the Christian home and a ministry of Pleasant View Baptist Church as it discharges its biblical responsibility for the training of children (Dt. 6; Pro. 22:6).  Therefore, it is required that one parent, preferably both, be a born-again Christian living under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, in active fellowship and under the discipleship of a Bible-believing church, and growing spiritually.  This is evidenced by regular church attendance and involvement in ministry. 

 

The spiritual commitment of recent or newly born-again Christian parents is respected with our realization that the preceding characteristics of the Christian walk may not yet be fully evidenced in their lives.  In such cases, recommendations for Christian discipleship will be made by the headmaster and followed up with, during the next reenrollment application or earlier if necessary.
